FCHS Band Awards and Honors 2003


Congratulations to the FCHS Marching Tigers, Mr. Beard, Ms. Rhoden, Mr. Slay, Ms. Gillian, and Mr. Key!!


Sandy Creek Invitational Tournament of Bands on October 11, 2003. 1st in Music, Visual, Overall Effect and Grand Champions


The Bands of America regional in Johnson City, TN on October 4th was an awesome experience. The marching band and color guard gave 2 great performances. We achieved our goal of being one of the Top 10 bands. Thirty-two bands participated from Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, South Carolina and Georgia.

All State Auditions are December 4th for Jazz and December 11th for Band and Orchestra. Prepare now to play scales, All State Etude and Sight-read. Students need to be practicing sight-reading 20 to 30 minutes daily. Good Luck!

News: London Parade Information Meeting
General News A meeting with a representative from the LONDON PARADE will be held at FCHS Tuesday, March 18th at 7:30pm in the commons area. All parents and students attending the trip should attend this meeting. If you are undecided about attending the trip, please also attend the meeting. We would like the entire marching band to represent our school in London December 26, 2008 - January 2, 2009.



Heading Across the Pond
New Year's Day 2005 in London - The FCHS Marching Band has accepted an invitation to participate in the London New Year's Day Parade on January 1, 2005.

Parade route highlights include Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, 10 Downing Street, Royal Horse Guards, Trafalgar Square, Pall Mall, and Piccadilly Circus! More than 1,000,000 people are expected to see the street spectacular as it weaves its way along the 2.2 mile route.
