Fayette County Marching Band 2002-2003

The Fayette County High School Band has over three hundred students and includes a marching band, a Jazz Ensemble, and four Concert Bands.

Many students are involved in Solo and Ensemble Festival, District VI Honor Band, GMEA All-State, Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Governor's Honors Program, and Honor Band of America.

The band has consistently placed between 17 and 25 students in the Georgia All-State Band or Orchestra each year since 1994.

In 1998 the Fayette County High School Marching Band was invited to perform with 2000 students from 20 countries in the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games on September 15, 2000.
